We set off in the morning to Lomié where we had some lunch before heading back to Mintom for the first of 3 concerts in this region. The musicians were excited about playing here as it is the village where Vicki Brown made his video with local musicians which was so popular at our film shows. I didn't realise that they were expecting to meet Vicki Brown, and there was almost a mutiny when they discovered that he wasn't there.

We set up next to the dusty road and the concert went well. We finished with the film show and the locals were really happy to see themselves on the Vicki Brown film. For most it was the first time they'd seen it.

After the show we were well fed and given comfortable little rooms in mud huts. The local children entertained us with some great drumming and dancing before bed.
